Not content with running a musical instrument business, we also managed to start up the Hadlow Down Organ Club in the 1980s. It did well, but as from January 2000, we moved it to the former restored Cinema known as the Pavilion in the centre of Hailsham, about ten miles north of Eastbourne, in East Sussex. Although an expensive place for the club to hire, the beautiful Art Deco surroundings, the comfortable cinema seating and the excellent acoustics soon made it a very popular venue for the public and the artists alike. All the top names (and a lot of up-and-coming players too) have now performed there.

The annual subscription rates are £20 for an individual membership, or £30 for a family membership. The door charge for members is £3.50. The club meets on the second Wednesday of each month at the Hailsham Pavilion, George Street, Hailsham, East Sussex. BN27 1AE. Doors open at 7pm, with the shows starting at 7.30pm. Non-members are very welcome too, from 7.15pm onwards, and can pay £5.50 at the door.
